Steel Angle Bars - Right Angle & L-Angle

Masonry above openings imposes vertical loads that must be transferred safely into adjacent brickwork. Undersized angles lead to deflection, cracking, and non-compliant construction. Span width, wall type, and imposed brick loads determine the required angle size and thickness.

This range includes R3 hot-dip galvanised steel angle lintels for exposed face brickwork and Render Bars for concealed applications. Solid angles are used where the steel remains visible beneath face brickwork. Render Bars are slotted angle profiles designed for render or plasterboard finishes and must not be used in exposed brickwork. All angles are supplied hot-dip galvanised and manufactured for masonry support in accordance with AS2699.3 and AS3700.

Common sizes including 100x100mm and 150x100mm profiles are stocked in multiple thicknesses, with lengths available up to 6000mm to accommodate both standard and wider brickwork openings. Sydney Metro orders are dispatched same or next business day on stocked lengths.

Established 1957, we supply compliant lintels to Australian builders. Designed to perform where it matters most.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A Render Bar has holes for adhesion. The slots allow the render to bond through the steel profile, improving adhesion and reducing the risk of separation. Standard angles are solid and should only be used for face brick.
Usually 100x100mm or 150x100mm. The choice depends on the span and the weight of the bricks above. At Vincent Buda and Company, we stock both sizes in multiple thicknesses.
Yes. Coastal and marine exposure zones may require R3 durability classification under AS2699.3.
