Drains Warranty


Vincent Buda and Company (VBC) warrants its stainless steel drainage products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ten (10) years from the date of purchase (Warranty Period). This warranty is applicable to the original purchaser of the product and is non-transferable.
VBC guarantees that the grade of stainless steel marked on any invoice issued in relation its drainage grates is the actual grade of stainless steel.

Australian Consumer Law Guarantees:

Our goods also come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Coverage and Limitations:

Subject to the above, during the Warranty Period, we at VBC can choose to repair or replace any drainage products that proves to be defective in material or workmanship. The warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by:
  1. Improper installation, handling, or maintenance.
  2. Neglect, misuse, or abuse of the product.
  3. Modification or alteration of the product.
  4. Exposure to harsh environmental conditions beyond the product's design specifications.
  5. Acts of nature or other supervening events, including but not limited to floods, earthquakes, fires and the like.

This warranty specifically excludes damages or defects arising from tea staining and acid washing. Tea staining is a natural process that can occur on stainless steel surfaces due to environmental factors such as salt, humidity, and atmospheric conditions.

Acid washing is a process of using an acid-based solution to remove stains and debris. While VBC stainless steel drainage products are designed to resist corrosion, damage arising from tea staining and/or acid washing is not covered by this warranty.

Factors such as improper installation or inadequate maintenance, including failure to regularly clean and care for the product as outlined in the product documentation, may contribute to tea staining.

Limitation of Warranties:

To the extent permitted by applicable law, all other implied warranties are limited to the duration and extent of this express warranty

Making a claim:

If you wish to make a claim under this warranty, you must provide proof of purchase and notify VBC within thirty (30) days of discovering any alleged defect. Claims must be made in writing and sent to the email address set out below. VBC reserves the right to inspect any product to determine the nature and cause of the alleged defect and to determine whether repair or replacement of the product is appropriate. We will then respond within 30 days of any claims being made.
We will make payment of any reasonable expenses incurred which are associated with any claim under this warranty so long as you provide proof of the incurring of such expenses.
