Stubby Brick Ties (L-Shaped) are purpose-built for brick veneer walls where the cavity is too narrow for a standard tie.

At 100mm x 35mm in a right-angle profile, these ties are face-fixed to the frame before the brickwork reaches that height, then embedded in the mortar bed as the course is laid.

They comply with AS/NZS 2699-2000 for cavity wall tie performance and are available in galvanised (light duty and medium duty) and stainless steel options.

Supplied in boxes of 150 pieces, Stubby Brick Ties are ready to go straight from the box on site.

Since 1957, Vincent Buda and Company has stocked the full range of wall ties for Sydney builders.

Vincent Buda and Company stocks Stubby Brick Ties for same-day or next-day delivery within the Sydney Metro. Courier delivery available Australia-wide.

A1: It depends on your cavity width.

Stubby Ties work best for narrow cavities. At 100mm × 35mm, they fit tight stud-to-brick veneer situations without protruding past the brick face.

Frame Ties are better for larger cavities (over 50mm), extending further to span the additional distance.

For steel studs, use a suitable self-drilling metal screw. For timber framing, use a standard batten screw. The tie is then embedded into the mortar bed as brickwork is laid.

A3: Yes, they comply with AS/NZS 2699-2000.

Your structural engineer or BCA assessment will specify the tie spacing required for your wind classification zone. Compliance with AS/NZS 2699-2000 means these ties meet the Australian standard for brick veneer wall ties.
