Timber frames are prone to bowing and movement at this height.
A 2400mm door is significantly taller and heavier than a standard door, placing more stress on the frame. Zincanneal steel door frames provide superior rigidity, keeping the opening square and preventing movement over time.
This ensures smoother door operation, better hinge performance, and long-term durability, especially in high-end residential and commercial builds.
Yes. These frames are manufactured to suit common Australian wall thicknesses.
We offer multiple throat sizes to match typical construction methods, including:
- 64mm timber or steel stud walls
- 90mm stud walls
- 90mm brickwork
- 110mm masonry walls
Profiles such as N93 and N114 ensure the frame sits flush with plasterboard or render finishes for a clean architectural result.
Yes. The frames are supplied with quality screw-fix hinges pre-installed.
Each frame is fully prepared in our workshop, allowing your carpenter or builder to simply install the frame and hang the door once the wall is completed.
This saves time on site and reduces the risk of alignment or measurement errors.
No. Standard commercial door hardware will fit.
Our frames are designed with standard hinge locations and universal striker preparation, making them compatible with a wide range of:
- door locks
- latches
- closers
- commercial hardware
