It carries your external brickwork and transfers the load to the structure at each floor level. Brickwork cannot be self-supporting over multiple stories, so a shelf angle bolted to the slab edge creates the bearing point that transfers that load back to the frame.

A lintel spans an opening; a shelf angle spans a floor level. A lintel carries load above a window or door gap. A shelf angle is fixed to the slab edge and carries a continuous run of brickwork across the facade. For openings, our concrete lintels and T-bars range covers you.

Yes, every shelf angle from Vincent Buda and Company arrives pre-drilled as standard. 20mm holes at 300mm centres on one flange, ready to bolt directly to the slab edge without modification.

Use through bolts or masonry anchors with a chemical anchor for the best fixing, as you will need multiple fixing points. Minimum standard is an M16 masonry screw anchor at 300-600mm centres with a minimum embedment of 80mm. Alternatively, follow your engineer's specification.

Same-day or next-day delivery within the Sydney Metro. Courier delivery available Australia-wide. Vincent Buda and Company stocks all three sizes at our Lakemba warehouse. Order before midday and your stock ships the same afternoon.
