This profile is the most common choice for wide residential and light commercial spans - from 1800mm garage door openings up to 6000mm structural headers. The 150mm vertical leg provides the depth needed to keep deflection within acceptable limits across these longer spans.

The 10mm sits between the standard 8mm residential profile and the heavy-duty 12mm. Use the 8mm for standard residential doors and windows up to around 2700mm. Use the 10mm for wider spans and heavier loads. The 12mm is for the widest commercial applications. See the full range in the Lintels & T-Bars collection .

R3 indicates the hot-dip galvanised coating is suitable for external use in standard corrosion zones, including coastal residential environments. The coating complies with AS/NZS 4680:2006. For highly corrosive marine zones, check with your structural engineer.

Yes, any standard length can be cut to suit on site. Allow at least 150mm bearing on each side of the opening when calculating your cut length, and ensure cuts are made square.

All 12 lengths from 1800mm to 6000mm are stocked at the Lakemba warehouse. Same-day or next-day delivery within the Sydney Metro.
