The Maxi T-Bar is engineered with a solid 40x40mm billet for unmatched strength, and its 250mm wide base is designed to cover the cavity as it supports the brickwork either side. All our T-Bars are Hot-Dip Galvanised (R3) to ensure they remain durable and structural for the life of your home. It is significantly stronger and designed specifically for cavity walls. The solid billet design provides greater resistance to bending, making it ideal for larger spans. The wider base profile is engineered to suit a 270mm thick wall with a 50mm cavity, allowing both skins of brickwork to be supported correctly while maintaining the required cavity separation. The Maxi T-Bar should only be used in 270mm cavity brick walls. It is not suitable for solid 230mm walls, where a traditional T-Bar is required.
Yes, they are fully compliant with AS2699.3 and AS4100. Our T-Bars are engineer-tested to ensure they meet the structural requirements of your project.
As a rough guide add 300mm to your total opening width. This ensures you have the standard 150mm "bearing" on each side of the opening to distribute the load safely. If you are unsure, double-check with your engineer; they can tell you the length required for your application.
We offer same day or next day delivery within Sydney Metro. Vincent Buda and Company understands that you can't build up until the T-Bar is in, so we dispatch our stock immediately.
